Eastenders is geared up for a big Christmas storyline involving Max Branning but last night it was Ian Beale who concerned viewers.

Ian headed out to the Queen Vic for a few beers, nothing surprising there you say but what was of interest was the fact that he brought a baby monitor with him. Yep, Ian was supposed to be looking after his grandson Louie but instead of staying home, he decided to carry out his babysitting duties from the pub. As viewers will know from last night's episode, he met Phil Mitchell there and even explained why he had brought the happy monitor with no qualms about his decision. Here he is in the clip below, the doting grandparent with Louie but soon after he was out to socialise. Ian seemed to think it was acceptable because he brought the monitor.

Unsurprisingly, Eastenders fans were far from impressed and took to Twitter to complain about the scene.
