Ed Sheeran announces concert at Croke Park

The superstar will play the capital after all.

Ed Sheeran is set to kick off his massive stadium tour next year with a newly announced gig at Croke Park. Aiken Promotions announced on Wednesday that the star had added an extra date to his highly anticipated Mathematics tour. The gig will take place on Saturday 23 April. https://twitter.com/aikenpromotions/status/1440541370263867401 The new date will be the first of four Irish shows – with the Bad Habits singer also due to play Cork, Limerick and Belfast. Tickets go on sale Saturday September 25 at 8am. The tour will follow the release of the 30-year-old superstar's new album, titled '=', on October 29. A spokeswoman said: “Ed’s upcoming ‘+ - = ÷ x Tour’ will see Ed return to stadiums for the first time since his record-breaking ‘Divide Tour’: taking place from 2017-2019, it officially became the most-attended and highest-grossing tour, ever, by the time of its completion. "On next year’s dates, fans will get to see Ed perform an array of tracks off his upcoming album, ‘=’, live for the first time, and they will also experience a new production set-up with Ed’s staging in the round, surrounded by the crowd in each stadium.”
