Elizabeth Olsen confirms that there won’t be a second season of WandaVision

Ellen Fitzpatrick

It’s not good news for WandaVision.

Elizabeth Olsen has spoken out about the future of WandaVision, and you may want to cover your ears for this one.

She previously spoke about the show being a miniseries, but it’s not until now that she’s really set the record straight on the second season.

The actress chatted to Kaley Cuoco for Variety’s Actors on Actors and put her foot down on the rumours of second season being a thing.

When asked if there was going to be another season, Elizabeth immediately shut down the idea saying: “no. It’s definitely a limited series.”

“I mean, I’m saying that. I don’t know. I mean, with Marvel, you can never say no. People die, people [come back to life].”

She went on to explain that she would be surprised to see a second season of the show, but she doesn’t want to rule out doing more on television in the future.

Elizabeth said: “I do miss, I think, the four-five week experience of making a film and that just feels so exciting and like camp for a little bit. But I think this six-month experience of really hard work with the same people [on a show], it’s exhausting [and] it just feels really good.”

During the premiere of the show back in January, the Marvel actress told People Magazine that it was a definite no on a second season, being just as adamant as she was in the Variety interview.

She told People: “No, that’s easy for me to answer. It is a limited series. It’s a fully beginning, middle, end, and that’s it kind of thing.”

But fear not, this isn’t the last we’ll be seeing of Elizabeth in the Marvel universe, she’ll be returning in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness next year as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch.
