Emily Blunt caused fans to think a ‘Friends’ reunion was finally happening

This is hilarious

Calm down everyone.

Friends is over, I’m sorry everyone but maybe it’s time to accept that you probably wont ever get a reunion of the show.

Fans are always looking for signs of one though, and when Emily Blunt was filming a scene for her new thriller Girl on the Train fans thought that she might have been part of the revival.

We can see where they got confused though as Lisa Kudrow stars in the new film and there were a couple of other signs which caused a bit of a frenzy.

Speaking on Jimmy Kimmel, Emily explains that her character is called Rachel and that Lisa Kudrow plays her friend.

She explains that they were filming in Grand Central Station and that Lisa’s character was originally called Monica.

“We had about 300 extras and then we had actual commuters coming into Grand Central who heard on the loud speaker, ‘Okay guys, we’re going to roll on Rachel.’ And then they see Lisa Kudrow walking on, and then they hear, ‘Guys, we’re going to do a closeup on Monica.’

And I saw two people have an aneurysm. They were like ‘IS THIS FRIENDS? FRIENDS REUNION!’ And it was like, it was so exciting.”

“Then they were disappointed.” She says.

This obviously caused a lot of confusion, so much so that Lisa Kudrow’s character’s name got changed to Martha.

You can watch Emily explain it below.
