Emmerdale viewers have noticed an awkward issue with Rebecca White's kidnapping.

The mum, played by Emily Head, is currently being held captive in an unused cabin by her twisted nephew, Lachlan. He kidnapped her after she caught him mid-murder attempt, when he was trying to kill Liv Flaherty and Robert Sugden. Nine days after her kidnapped her, Lachlan has now told his aunt about all of his evil schemes - and she's terrified for her life. And, when he was seen with a bloody spanner in hand, it looked like he had claimed another victim - especially since she was nowhere to be seen in the village. After Robert Sugden found her passport in her room, which meant that she wasn't in Ibiza like Lachlan had said, he grew even more concerned. Lachlan ducked out of the pub and headed off to a secret location, where Rebecca's fate was revealed. And in Friday night's episode, things were looking even more grim for the mum as Lachlan decided he needed someone to confide in about his crimes. He broke down as he told her about how he had caused the White family's car crash and killed his best friend, Gerry Roberts - as well as his attempt at murdering Liv and Robert. For a brief moment it seemed like Rebecca stood a chance of making Lachlan see the light and let her go, but then things took a brutal turn. When he offered her an apple, which she turned down, he said:

"Up to you. I don't suppose it's going to make much difference anyway, is it? Thanks for listening. Feels good to get that off my chest."
