Everything we know about the two new bombshells on Love Island

Sarah McKenna Barry

It’s heating up in the villa.

Last night’s Love Island left Will Young vulnerable to being dumped after the show’s latest bombshell, Tom Clare, decided to couple up with Olivia Hawkins.

However, all hope may not be lost, as two new bombshells are on the way into the island – Zara Deniz Lackenby-Brown and David Salako.

25-year-old Zara is a model and property developer from London. She’s decided to head into the villa as she says her love life is “shambolic” and wants to try dating in a different environment, as whatever she’s doing now doesn’t seem to be working. A self-described “massive hype girl”, Zara says she’ll bring sass, vibes and good energy to the villa.

“I’ll also bring spice,” she says. “I’m a bit different and I don’t think there’s anyone in there like me so I reckon I’ll keep things interesting.”

When asked why she’s still single, Zara says it’s because she has very high standards.

David, meanwhile, is a 24-year-old money adviser from Essex. He’s going on Love Island because he’s looking for someone to bond with.

David promises to bring “good vibes and energy” to the villa.

“I’m very personable,” he says. “I’m actually very excited to meet new people, aside from a partner, friends as well.”

His “elevator pitch” for potential girlfriends is: “Listen, there’s only one David Salako. There we go. If you’re in a relationship with me it’ll be nothing but good fun, vibes. I think I’m alright looking as well.”

David claims he’s still single because he is “very picky”.

“I haven’t met the right one yet,” he says. “The person you’re going to meet is never going to be perfect, but I’ve got my standards, yeah.”

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on Virgin Media Two and on the Virgin Media Player.
