There’s going to be another familiar face returning to Grey Sloan Memorial this season – and it’s going to stir up some emotions.
Following the news that Kim Raver would be reprising her role as Dr Teddy Altman, April Kepner’s ex-fiancé is also set to make a return.
That’s right, Matthew Taylor is back.
Entertainment Weekly report that Justin Bruening is checking into Grey Slaon once again as he reprises his role as April’s former flame.
Matthew first made an appearance in season 9 as a paramedic who soon swept April off her feet.
The pair eventually got engaged, and even made it to their wedding day…until April left him at the altar to run off with Jackson in season 10.
Since then, Jackson and April have wed, had a child, and called time on their relationship.
But the reappearance of her former fiancé is surely going to have a big impact on the Grey Sloan doctor.
It’s not clear when Matthew will be returning – or even why – just yet.
But the medical drama’s boss Kris Vernoff told the publication:
“Matthew Taylor will pay a visit to Grey Sloan and the impact of his return will see April reevaluating some of the decisions she has made in her life.”
