From strength to strength.
Last night Dermot Kennedy touched down in Ireland for his Homecoming Tour with Aloft hotels, performing two intimate gigs in Dublin city centre.
Dermot was initially only meant to perform one gig, however, the demand for tickets was so astronomical that in order to hopefully get as many people to the gig as possible, Aloft decided to put on another gig for ticketholders in The Academy.
Taking to the seventh floor of the new Aloft hotel located in Dublin 8, you could hear a pin drop as Dermot captivated the audiences with his voice and powerful lyrics.
From Power Over Me to Outnumbered and Rome, Dermot performed five tracks before thanking everyone and admitting he had to race over town to perform the next gig.
“Dublin that was so beautiful. Thank you to everyone who came down! Couldn’t have asked for a better homecoming,” the star wrote on Instagram.
Fans and invited guests had nothing but praise for the singer last night. Noting his “unmeasurable amounts of comfort and understanding” to some believing he was “genuinely sent by the angels themselves”.
I mean, it’s definitely possible.
Here are some of last night’s reactions to the intimate gigs…
“You can run around infinite in my head
so dance carefree, I hope that’s easier knowing me, now your soul is yours but I’ll help it move if I can”
Just an example of the lyrics @DermotKennedy produces that brings unmeasurable amounts of comfort + understanding@AloftDublinCity pic.twitter.com/TMOShO89Ki

Dermot has a packed agenda ahead of him especially starting in early 2020. The star will embark on a tour that sees him playing over 30 dates in the US before playing in the UK and then on to Australia until May.
From strength to strength, Dermot’s star is only rising.
