Betty White: 100 Years Young will be screened later this month.
A film that was made in advance of Betty White’s 100th birthday will go ahead as planned.
The legendary actor died over the weekend, aged 99.
The production company behind the upcoming film assured fans that the movie – Betty White: 100 Years Young – will be screened as planned. The film was made to celebrate Betty turning 100 years old, which would have been on 17 January 2022.
Taking to Twitter, Fathom Events wrote: “Our hearts mourn today with the passing of Betty White. During the many years we worked with her, we developed a great love and admiration for Betty as a person, and as an accomplished entertainer. We are thankful for the many decades of delight she brought to everyone.

“Betty always said she was the ‘luckiest broad on two feet’ to have had a career as long as she did. And honestly, we were the lucky ones to have had her for so long.”
The statement continued: “We will go forward with our plans to show the film on January 17 in hopes our film will provide a way for all who loved her to celebrate her life—and experience what made her such a national treasure.”
Since her death was announced on New Year’s Eve, tributes have been pouring in for the Golden Girls star.
US President Joe Biden stated that White “brought a smile to the lips of generations of Americans”.
