No arrest were made, thankfully.
Last night’s rendition of the Late Late Toy Show had everything one could ever need from a three and a half hour long programme about children looking at toys.
A lad named Michael met his hero. A boy named Scott was a hero. And a gal named Stella did some gardening.
It was all really lovely and stuff. That was, until, a member of this year’s cast committed a hit and run, leaving an RTE veteran fighting for his life.
Just kidding, one of the boys in the cars drove over Ryan dressed as a Garda, that’s all.
Here was the iconic moment in question, at about 4 minutes, 15 seconds.
It's the ride on toys!

Following the incident, an Garda Síochána took to Twitter to issue a much warranted statement.
They wrote: “Gardaì are currently at the scene of an incident at RTE. No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.”
They also included this still image.

Great.
The responses to the tweet were just as good too, with many people saying that the Gards would “want to get GSOC” involved and that there was “nothing to see here, move along.”
Excellent comedic value from all involved.
