There’s a new bombshell heading into the villa and after last night’s drama filled episode, this new boy is certainly only going cause a lot more.
Not just anyone, Love Island has managed to snap up Gemma Owen’s ex boyfriend as the latest islander to join the show.
Teasing his arrival for tomorrow’s episode, he was seen walking into the villa with the clip cutting to Gemma saying: “Oh my god, that’s my ex-boyfriend.”
After a dramatic recoupling that left Gemma with Luca, she will now be reunited with her ex, Jacques O’Neill.
According to reports, he is understood to play rugby for Castleford Tigers, with his club immediately dropping a statement when the episode aired.
A tweet from club bosses read: “Castleford Tigers can confirm that the Club has agreed to release Jacques O’Neill from his contract to allow him to pursue another opportunity. Best of luck @Jacques9oneill!”
As he entered the villa, the Islanders immediately jumped up to see the new arrival, but when Gemma said it was her ex, Tasha was seen covering her mouth in disbelief.
Fans immediately took to Twitter to say how happy they were with the latest twist.
One person wrote: “YES to this twist! Gemma’s ex needs to make a beeline for Lovely Lovely Paige, hopefully he’s nice enough for her- Luca will end up getting bored with boring Gemma & she’s probably stuffed it with Davide soooo… #LoveIsland.”
Another wrote: “Oh! Love island with a little Ex on the Beach twist #loveisland.”
