Oops.
We’ve witnessed our fair share of soap blunders before now but when one has a specific Irish mention, it’s of great interest.
Case in point, the letter featured on last night’s Eastenders which Jack Branning planned to send to Ireland but didn’t really think the whole process out.
As pointed out by a number of viewers, the letter, destined for Galway, featured a London postcode.
Major fail.
As always, the blunder soon made its way to Twitter where eagle-eyed fans shared images of the letter and the incorrect address.
As they pointed out, it’s pretty unlikely the letter would make it past the confines of London.
This isn’t the first soap gaffe and it won’t be the last but they’re always of interest to soap fans nonetheless.
@bbceastenders #eastenders I think someone needs to learn some geography. I didn't know that Ireland is in Charlton, London (SE7) #eagleeyed pic.twitter.com/22U42jxbMS

SE7 postcode for a letter to Ireland? It's going no further than Greenwich ?? #EastEnders
