‘Ghost’ spotted on first night of ‘I’m A Celeb’ at Gwrych Castle

Harrowing scenes.

I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here kicked off last night – and for the first time, it kicked off in Wales.

The latest series of the reality TV show is taking place at Gwrych Castle in a bid to bypass the rules in place concerning travelling in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.

With a new location comes new trials, new drama, and most importantly, new fears, as the celebrities are forced to live in the allegedly haunted castle, win their dinners, and provide us all with some much needed entertainment.

So far, there haven’t been any hauntings per se. They has, however, been a bit of ghostly sighting in the form of a strange shadow apparent in one of the windows during the show’s first episode last night.

There it is now.

See it?

Of course you do. Clearly a ghostly figure. Nothing else it could possibly be.

Gwrych Castle is, according to its website, very haunted. Apparently, “real life ghost encounters by visitors to Gwrych Castle are commonplace,” with one staff member saying that a lot of visitors have felt the presence of a woman.

“A few people have claimed to have seen a floating woman in white,” they said.

“Ghost-hunters have also claimed to have felt the presence of her and gamekeepers. We think the Countess might be unhappy as her husband stripped the castle of valuables.

“They certainly didn’t have a happy marriage.”

Whatever the ghostly figure (a member of production, that’s what it was), one thing’s for sure – we’ll be tuning into I’m A Celeb for the foreseeable future.

Not just because there’s nothing else on – because it’s good this year, alright?

I’m A Celeb airs tonight at 9pm on Virgin Media One.
