Fans of Mrs Brown’s Boys will be happy to hear that the show is set to continue for another five years.
Writer and star Brendan O’Carroll has revealed that he has signed up to do more Christmas specials of the hit comedy.
He told The Mirror: “I have been commissioned to write another two Christmas specials and the BBC are expecting Christmas specials up until 2020.
“I am lucky enough I can grow into the part and so that is nice.”
Brendan explained that the rumours concerning the end of the show were sparked by miscommunication.
He said: “There is absolutely no truth in the story I am not writing any more Mrs Brown’s Boys. I am.”
Mrs Brown will be back for a number of Christmas specials.
