Apparently Grease had a juicer alternative ending, and our minds are blown

Sorry but Grease was one of the most important films of my youth. I'll never forget the moment Sandy rocked up in those leather pants... I LONGED to be that cool. It never happened. So imagine my disbelief when I learned that Grease almost had a different ending? Nothing MAJOR like, but there would have been a significant difference to that final shot. Remember the end when Danny and Sandy are in the car, driving off into the sunset? And then the camera turns to look down to the crown of students? Well, according to actress Didi Conn, who played Frenchy in the film, there was an alternative shot for the final moment. “They’re driving in the car, and he looks at her and puts his arm around her and gives her the juiciest kiss,” she said. “And guess what, she’s like, ‘Ooh!’ and she gives it back! And that’s the ending they didn’t use.” Didi said that the producers went with the other final scene because it cost so much to get the above shot of the students waving. I guess they didn't have drones back then... “Whatever they rented to get that shot, that they were gonna use it.”
