The As It Was singer will read In Every House, On Every Street next Monday.

Singer Harry Styles is set to become the latest celebrity to feature on CBeebies’ Bedtime Story.

The As It Was singer will read In Every House, On Every Street on the popular children’s show on Monday, 23 May. The storybook is written by Jess Hitchman, with illustrations by Lili la Baleine.

In Every House, On Every Street is described by the BBC Press Office as a “heartwarming celebration of homes and the different families that live in them.”

The former One Direction member will introduce it to viewers, saying: “Tonight’s bedtime story is about a house full of love and laughter.”

CBeebies’ Bedtime Story regularly features big names reading stories to children, and Styles follows in the footsteps Kate Middleton, who read Jill Tomlinson’s The Owl Who Was Afraid of the Dark, and Bridgerton star Regé-Jean Page, who read Rain Before Rainbows by Smriti Halls.

More recently, Strictly Come Dancing champion Rose Ayling-Ellis made history earlier this month by becoming the first person to sign a story on the show.

To mark Deaf Awareness Week, the actress appeared on the children’s show to sign Can Bears Ski? by Raymond Antrobus and Polly Dunbar.

She told the story through British Sign Language.

Prior to the airing of her episode, Rose spoke about what it meant to her to represent the Deaf community on national television.

She said: “I am super excited to read my first CBeebies bedtime story in British Sign Language and it’s even more wonderful to share a story written by a deaf writer.

“I hope deaf children enjoy the story and it inspires hearing children to want to learn BSL more.”

Harry Styles’ episode of CBeebies Bedtime Story will air on Monday, 23 May at 6:50pm.
