We've just won a bet with a friend who reckoned we'd never be able to reference Kicks Like a Mule's oldskool dance classic in a post. But the point still stands. If you want to attend the final, you need to fill out the form below. The grand final of the Le Crunch Apple of My Eye Song Contest is kicking off at 7pm (doors open at 6:15pm) in Whelan's on 23 March and it promises to be an amazing night. Katie Cassidy, Slow Seas, Crossing Paths, Scoops and Mimi Lane & Stephen Kelly are the five finalists, having battled their way through some serious competition. They'll be performing their chosen tune live on the night, hoping to win over a panel of judges that includes Maximum Media Broadcast Director Paddy McKenna, Ham SandwicH singer Niamh Farrell and Peter Dunne, owner of BARE in the Woods. There will also be performances from former Le Crunch Apple of My Eye Song Contest winners Brave Giant and Flat Out on the night. There's €1500 on the line for the winner so expect the atmosphere to be electric.
