Her.ie Meets Lenny Abrahamson And Domhnall Gleeson To Chat About “Frank”

We also talked a little about Star Wars... Just a little.

Sue Murphy

In case you have been living under a rock on the moon, you may have heard that Lenny Abrahamson’s new film Frank, starring the brilliant Michael Fassbender and Domhnall Gleeson will be released tomorrow. We actually cannot recommend it enough.

Fassbender plays Frank, the lead singer of a wayward band who spends his entire life in a fibre glass head; his real face has been revealed to nobody. Gleeson’s character Jon stumbles across the band and ends up out on the road with them as their keyboard player. Of course, all sorts of adventures happen along the way.

Last week, we got to sit down and chat to Gleeson about his role in the film, what he loves about Frank and how he feels about his casting in the new Star Wars film. Abrahamson, the director of the brilliant Adam and Paul and What Richard Did chatted about his work to date and his upcoming project, Room.

Frank is released in cinemas tomorrow, May 9th.
