Here’s proof that even David Beckham isn’t too good for dad jokes

He's the classic embarrassing dad on social media.

David Beckham is universally recognised as one of the world’s cool guys.

Universally except for by his own kids, that is.

A man really changes when he becomes a father – something in him just clicks and suddenly it’s all different.

No, we’re not saying he suddenly becomes more responsible, kinder, or a better person in any way whatsoever – what happens is he just starts making terrible jokes. Loads and loads of terrible, terrible jokes.

And it seems that even Goldenballs (what a shit nickname that was, thinking back) isn’t too good or too cool to partake, unfortunately for his son Brooklyn.

Brooklyn was chatting to his fans live on Instagram, when his old man thought it’d be funny to pop up and give him a bit of a ribbing.

First, he reminded his first-born that he was still just a kid, telling him: “U should be at school”.

And he followed it up by embarrassing his son even further, adding: “That’s my shirt”.

Being embarrassed by your dad in front of a friend is bad enough, let alone more than 10,000 of your Instagram followers.

We can picture it now. It’s a Sunday evening in the Beckham household and Posh asks David: “Shall I put the kettle on?”

She realises her mistake, but it’s already too late.

Within seconds, Becks bellows back: “YOU CAN, BUT IT WON’T SUIT YOU!”

Proof that however rich, famous, or good you are at football, no one in the world is too good for dad jokes.
