It’s been a long week waiting for another episode.
There should be only one appointment in your diary for tonight – and that’s RTÉ 2‘s First Dates Ireland.
The reality dating show, which follows the same format as Channel 4‘s First Dates has gone down a storm with Irish viewers, spawning a whole range of memes and biting commentary from those witty masterminds on Twitter using the hashtag #FirstDatesIrl.

The hit show returns for the fifth week this evening, showing at the usual time of 9.30pm.
In tonight’s episode, we will meet skydiver Damien who falls hard for the exotic charms of glamorous Dia.
Other characters we will witness are cheeky chappy grandad, Tony, who hopes to meet a jovial, classy lady with a twinkle in her eye for a few laughs and companionship – and maybe a bit of dancing and weekends away.
He is paired with the lovely Lexi and from this clip, the pair seem like a gorgeous potential couple.
We’ll also be introduced to special needs assistant Adam who meets make-up artist Laura. Will these two animal lovers have enough in common to hit it off?
