Heather had been diagnosed with advanced stage breast cancer.

TV presenters Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield have led tributes to Heather Bone, a 41-year-old woman who sadly passed away from cancer.

Heather, who was a huge fan of This Morning, had been a guest on the show multiple times. She initially appeared on the breakfast chat show in 2012, where she proposed to her partner on Leap Day.

The couple were then invited back on in 2018, and This Morning covered the cost of their wedding and provided them with a wedding planner.

Her family shared that she passed away earlier this week through a post on Instagram.

They wrote: “After a long battle with cancer, Mum went in the most peaceful and perfect way last night.

“Mum inspired so many people and will do for years to come, she always put others first and ALWAYS stayed positive which kept the whole family going.

“On behalf of Mum she was so grateful of the support everyone gave us the past year as it kept her positive. After suffering for so long she deserves a rest. Sleep tight Mum.”

Just a few weeks ago, Heather was featured on This Morning as part of their Dosh on your Doorstep segment. In it, Alison Hammond delivered £1,000 to the superfan.

Heather told viewers that she was in the advanced stages of breast cancer, and was given just a few months to live. ITV subsequently donated an additional £1,000.

In an on-air tribute to Heather, Holly and Phil described her as an “amazing lady.”

Holly said: “‘Well it’s with a heavy heart that we share the sad news that Heather Bone passed away peacefully on Tuesday evening.”

Phil added: “You may remember Heather from the time she took part in our competitions, she was an amazing lady.”

“She really was,” said Holly. “Heather spent her final months living her life to the fullest and our thoughts go out to her friends and family at this time.”
