Matthew (Matty) Lock was a well-known figure in the Merseyside Labour Party.
This Morning host, Holly Willoughby, has paid tribute to Matthew Locke, known as Matty, who has passed away at the young age of 19.
Matty appeared on the mid-morning chat show a number of times as a vacuum cleaner reviewer and as an up and coming member of the Labour Party having been elected in his hometown of Maghull, Merseyside.
"So shocked and saddened to hear the news today," Willoughby wrote on her
Instagram story.
"Matty was a wonderful person with a true passion for what he did... my love goes out to his friends and family at what must be a very difficult time."

As well as a career in politics and a vacuum cleaner expert, Matty was was also a parish councillor in Lydiate.
In
This Morning's tribute on X, they shared that they were 'shocked and saddened' to learn of the 19-year-old's passing.
"He was a delightful young man, a joy to work with and his passion for vacuum cleaners and general mechanics was infectious," the tribute reads.

Meanwhile, Matty's political party, Labour, also took to social media to share their sadness over the news of his passing.
"He had his whole life ahead of him, with huge potential who I know was admired and loved across our party," wrote the
