Home and Away’s Alf Stewart to have life-threatening accident

Can't cope.

As fans of Home and Away will know, Alf Stewart is the show's longest-serving character and has played a massive part in Summer Bay down through the years. According to Digital Spy, a new storyline will see Alf 's life at risk. In scenes yet to be aired, he takes a trip out on his beloved Blaxland and suffers a sudden heart attack. Thankfully, he has a companion, newcomer James Morgan, who quickly jumps off the boat and swims ashore for help. Alf is rushed to hospital but as always in soapland, a quick recovery just isn't an option. Although he initially shows signs of improvement, Alf then suffers a stroke and is put on life support. Roo, who as viewers know has had a tough time of late, has to process the fact that her dad may never wake up. These scenes are due to air in August and one thing is for sure, the show just won't be the same if Alf doesn't make it.
