America’s Got Talent judge Howie Mandel has apologized this week following a comment that caused some controversy on the show.

He was live on air at the time.

The judge made the comment on Tuesday’s live show and caused a lot of debate on Twitter when he told hopeful Steve Starr, who swallows things and regurgitates them as his talent: “This is probably going to come out wrong, but you, sir, make bulimia entertaining.”

He also apologized on Twitter.

Later on in the show, he apologized for his previous comment: “I just want to take a second just to apologize.

“I made a comment earlier, it’s live television, I wasn’t thinking,” he stated and later took to Twitter to apologize once more.

Fans have since taken to Twitter to support him.
