Patricia Routledge is coming to Dublin and we couldn’t be more delighted

Olivia Hayes

We LOVED this TV show!

Remember Keeping Up Appearances? It told the story of Hyacinth Bucket who insisted people pronounce her second name ‘Bouquet’.

The British sitcom was was hilarious and we loved Hyacinth, played by Dame Patricia Routledge, for her eccentric nature.

The 90-year-old award-winning actress has had a illustrious career both in theatre and on TV, and she’s now bringing her latest offering to Ireland.

Patricia is coming to Dublin for a cultural event that’s not to be missed. The actress will be taking part in an hour-long musical and theatrical collaboration alongside international concert pianist Piers Lane.

The show will tell the tale of Dame Myra Hess and her famous wartime National Gallery piano concerts. With music by Bach, Beethoven, Schubert, Brahms, Schumann and Chopin, we will see how her 1,600 lunchtime concerts began and continued even when bombs exploded in London.

The musical is named Admission: One Shilling and will take place in the Pavilion Theatre in Dun Laoghaire on Sunday the 9 February at 3pm.
