“I Love Eastenders” – X Factor Winner Wants To Star In Popular Soap

Eastenders could soon have a new face as it seems that Leona Lewis has a secret ambition to star in the long-running soap. The singer, who was crowned winner of The X Factor in 2006, told The Sun that she "loves Eastenders". Leona added: “I really love the show. I don’t think I’d do anything where I had to sign up for five years, but singing in the cafe would be good.” The Bleeding Love singer makes her movie debut next month in musical Walking on Sunshine and it seems she's caught the acting bug. “It was fun to have a go at acting, but as Walking on Sunshine is a musical it wasn’t a million miles away from what I do. "But I went to stage school before X Factor. I did a lot of theatre and was in the West End for a bit as well. If the right things come along I’d like to do more". We think Leona would make a great addition to Albert Square and can see her hanging out in The Vic with Kat or having a chat to Dot in the launderette... stranger things have happened!
