Scéal iontach ó Tribeca inniu. Irish language short Rúbaí will be joining The Stag, Scratch and The Canal as part of the programme in this year’s Tribeca Film Festival in New York.

The short film, directed by Louise Ní Fhiannachta and written by Antoin Beag Ó Colla was funded under Bord Scannán na hÉireann’s Gearrscannáin short film scheme.

Rúbaí tells the story of a young girl who announces that she’s an atheist before her First Holy Communion.

It will receive its international premiere at the world-renowned festival and has already won Best First Short Drama at the Galway Film Fleadh, as well as being among this year’s IFTA nominees.

The Tribeca Film Festival runs from April 17th to 27th. Go n-éirí go geal leo!
