It looks like a Riverdale spin-off is officially in the works and we can’t wait

It looks like the Archie TV universe could be expanding again.

Riverdale's third season kicked off this week (and the premier's available on Netflix now), and there's still a few weeks to go until The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.  But showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa has admitted that there may be another Archie Comics inspired show on the way. And, honestly, we can't wait. Aguirre-Sacasa, who is also the Chief Creative Officer of Archie Comics, told Collider that he was "absolutely" up for creating another Archie-inspired TV show - and they've already got an idea as to what it would be. He said:

"The Archie universe has been around for 80 years. "It's almost as old as the DC universe, if not older, in some ways. We're always talking about it. "We have an idea that in the very preliminary, early stages, which hopefully you guys will be hearing about, in the coming weeks."

He went on to add that the idea of working on three series' (Aguirre-Sacasa is the show runner for Riverdale and The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) was "energising." He continued:

"[The shows] are very different, so it never feels like I'm telling the same story. It always feels like we're exploring different themes and different stories.

"It's energising, and it's been great. It's caviar problems."
