An I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! theme park is officially on the way and we are beyond excited.

Yes, that’s right: the jungle-based reality ITV show is going to be turned into a theme park with different rides based on Base Camp, Croc Creek and Snake Rock – just to name a few.

According to the BBCthe indoor venue will open in Salford next summer.

And while there hasn’t been any confirmation about whether any live creepy crawlies will be involved in the theme park’s challenges, ITV’s director of games, live and merchandising William van Rest said any critters are likely to be virtual.

The I’m A Celeb theme park is said to be focused mostly on a 90-minute “action-packed” challenge, including things like climbing walls, mazes and zip wires.

Visitors will collect stars throughout in an attempt to be crowned the newest king or queen of the jungle.

Van Rest said that members of I’m A Celeb’s production team have been involved in the designing and the activities in the venue.

He continued:

“It’s inspired by the show, and we’re trying to create a jungle as closely as we can.

“Some of the games within I’m A Celebrity are things like treetop challenges, and one of the team who helps create the games for I’m A Celebrity is helping us with this.”
