Jack Maynard surprised fans after it was announced on Tuesday night that he had left the I’m A Celebrity camp.

Ant and Dec announced on Tuesday night’s show that the YouTuber had left with a spokesperson for the station saying:

“Due to circumstances outside camp, Jack has had to withdraw from the show.”

However, it is now being reported that the star might not be paid for his time down under.

According to Heatworld, there is an ‘unwritten rule’ which says every contestant must survive at least 72 hours in the jungle to receive their full pay.

The show launched on Sunday night, however, Jack left on Tuesday and it is being suggested he didn’t complete the minimum amount of time in the jungle.

Jack’s own representation has already addressed the building rumours as to why the star left the jungle in a statement, saying:

“In the last few days, Jack Maynard has been the subject of a succession of media stories which, given his position as a contestant on I’m A Celebrity – filmed in the Australian jungle, with no contact with the outside world, he has been unable to respond to.

“Since it is only fair that everyone should be aware of any allegations made against them and should also have the right to defend themselves, it was agreed that it would be better to bring him out of the show.

“Jack agrees with this decision which was made by his representatives and ITV and thanks everyone who has supported him in the show this far.”
