Jacqueline Jossa shares an Eastenders throwback photo and the nostalgia is real

This brings us back. Characters in soap land come and go on a regular basis and this photo is proof of how much things have changed for the Eastenders cast. Jacqueline Jossa, aka Lauren Branning, took to Instagram to share this throwback photo with the caption "back in the day when we were the cool kids of EE". The mother of one is set to make a return to the soap later this year and she's obviously feeling a little nostalgic, thinking of how much things have evolved since she joined the show. Some of the characters in the photo are still around, haiiii Jay Brown (Jamie Borthwick) and Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty).

That said, this really is a blast from the past...remember Alice Branning and Poppy Manning? More recent departures from the soap include Lucy Beale, whose murder was a huge storyline for the soap, and Fatboy Chubb. As fans will remember, Lauren left the show with Peter Beale and we can't wait to see what happens when she arrives back in Albert Square!
