Jenna Dewan just said the most heartbreaking thing about her split from Channing Tatum

Our HEARTS.

It has been a year and six months since Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan announced their split.

A split that shook the entertainment world, the pair announced via a joint statement on Instagram that they were parting ways for now but would continue to love and respect eachother as well as co-parenting their daughter, Everly.

And it appears as though they’ve done just that. Although moving on with new partners, both Jenna and Channing still speak highly about eachother to the press with Jenna even informing Channing first about her pregnancy news with partner, Steve Kazee.

But in a recent interview with People, Jenna opened up about her split from Channing and how fragile she felt after.

“I was just gutted. It was so difficult for me.

“It was the loss of an idealistic future for myself and my life. What does that now look like for me? Where do I begin? I met him when I was 24, I didn’t know life without Chan.”

Our hearts.

The dancer continued by saying:

“I’m grateful that I now am at a place where I understand myself and what I want and I’m happy about this new chapter.”

Jenna announced her pregnancy last month, she has been dating Steve since October 2018, the same time Channing started dating singer, Jessie J.

It is believed that Channing now lives in the UK with the star and Jenna admits they’re still getting used to the “new normal”.

“We’re all aware that it’s a new normal, we’re all getting used to it.

“You can still have a relationship and just because the forms change as to who you are to each other, it doesn’t take away from the love that we had or that we shared all those years.”

Well said.
