Jennifer Lawrence Was In The Running To Play Bella Swan In Twilight

This would have been very different.

It’s hard to imagine anyone but Kristen Stewart playing the iconic role of Bella Swan in Twilight

But it turns out that a very different actress was in line to inhabit Bella’s sparkly skin in the epic love story.

Jennifer Lawrence, who was just seventeen at the time, auditioned for the role and narrowly missed out to Kristen.

Jennifer narrowly missed out on the role.

Speaking about the audition at the time, Jennifer admitted: “I remember when the first movie came out, seeing Kristen Stewart on the red carpet and getting papped wherever she went.

“I’d had no idea Twilight would be such a big deal. For me, and assuming for her, it was just another audition. Then it turned into this whole other thing.”

Kristen went on to date her co-star Robert Pattinson.

However, the 22-year-old went on to audition for and land the role of Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games – which, you know, kind of turned out to be a “thing” as well.
