Kim Cattrall made a brief return for the second season finale of And Just Like That, which reportedly earned her an eye-watering pay cheque. When I say brief, I'm talking 71 seconds of the iconic Samantha Jones sitting in the back of a cab on the phone with her long-term bestie, Carrie Bradshaw, played by Sarah Jessica Parker. While she may not be a permanent fixture on the Sex and the City spin-off, the Canadian actress managed to pocket a pretty sizeable amount of money for her fleeting return. The Daily Mail reports that Samantha's return was worth €1 million to Cattrall. She speaks just 20 lines in her cameo, which, broken down, is a jaw-dropping €28,023 per second of airtime. She did not feature in any scenes with her former co-stars Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis, instead acting out a scene via video call to Carrie. The scene begins with Samantha, who is now based in London, calling her pal upon hearing the news that she is selling her flat. "My flight’s three hours delayed, Carrie! I won’t be able to make it there in time," Samantha says. Explaining that Charlotte York and Miranda Hobbs told her that Carrie was throwing a party at her old apartment, she reveals that she had wanted to surprise her by flying back to New York. However, she pays tribute to the flat by asking to be put on speaker: "Thank you for everything, you f**king fabulous, fabulous flat." We have a feeling that this, unfortunately, will be the last we see of the beloved Samantha Jones. In her own words: "This love stuff is a motherf**ker."
