The mum-of-three originally wanted something very different.
Kim Kardashian is to appear on Ellen today, and aside from discussing the scandal that’s surrounding her sister Khloe’s relationship with Tristan Thompson right now, the mum-of-three discussed the arrival of her third child.
Kim and Kanye welcomed their third child via surrogate earlier this year and true to form, chose a name fit for the child of one of the most famous couples in the world.
However, the proud mum has now admitted that Chicago was far from their first choice.
“So, her name is Chicago,” Ellen said. “But when I was pitching names, you told me you only wanted one syllable names.
“‘Chicago’ is not one syllable,” Ellen queried.
“It kind of messes with me, I’m not going to lie,” Kim admitted to the host before revealing her first choices for her third child.
“We were gonna name her Jo because of my grandma, Mary Jo,” Kim revealed.
“Or we were gonna go with Grace… and then it was Chicago.”
The audience naturally giggled at the huge difference between the names, before the star tried to explain the reasoning behind the decision.
“Because Kanye’s from Chicago?” Ellen asked.
“I don’t even know how the name… I mean obviously because he’s from Chicago.
“That is the place that made him.”
While Jo and Grace are lovely names, we can’t help but think that we’d be a little disappointed if that’s what Kim and Kanye actually chose.
