Add us as a preferred source on Google »Following the return of the Late Late Show this week, RTÉ has confirmed the release date for this year's Toy Show.
Some viewers will be disappointed to hear that the show is airing at a much later date this winter, but having it air closer to Christmas is a great move in our eyes.
RTÉ confirmed the 2024 Late Late Toy Show will air on Friday, December 6th.
Viewers are used to watching the Toy Show in November, but the public is welcoming the date change.
In December, we'll see chaos erupt on the Late Late set as kids from around the country and Patrick Kielty spread the festive spirit. There will be emotional reunions, malfunctioning toys, a questionable musical number or two, and something for everyone in the audience.
RTÉ has now opened applications for children to be part of the biggest show on Irish TV.
An RTÉ spokesperson stated:
"The countdown to the most wonderful night of the year has just begun. This year it will be on Friday, December 6th so save the date!
"The Late Late Toy Show 2024 will be as magical as ever and we want you to be part of it. We're looking for kids from all corners of the island so let us know what's special about you.
"Whether you want to demonstrate a toy or be part of a performance complete the application form below, we can't wait to hear from you."
The deadline for applications is Wednesday, October 2nd.
Are we too old to be counting down the days? Definitely, but we all know the Toy Show only gets better as you grow up and embrace its madness.
The Late Late Toy Show airs on Friday, December 6th on RTÉ 1.
