Leonardo DiCaprio has reportedly signed a deal to produce environmental documentaries for Netflix.
According to Deadline the online streaming service announced on Wednesday that it will work with DiCaprio's Appian Way production company on a number of documentaries dealing with environmental and conservationist subjects.
The actor said: "There's never been a more critical time for our planet or more of a need for gifted storytellers to help us all make sense of the issues we face.
"Through this partnership with Netflix, I hope to give documentary filmmakers doing urgent and important work the chance to have their films seen immediately by audiences all around the world."
Netflix and DiCaprio, who will act as executive producer, previously teamed up for the Oscar-nominated documentary Virunga.
