Ken Kratz does not come across well in the Netflix series Making a Murderer.
The former District Attorney of Calumet County and prosecutor in the Steven Avery case is actually pretty much on everyone’s shit list. This letter written by Kratz and sent to Avery in September 2015 also won’t do him any favours.
Kathleen Zellner, Steven Avery’s new attorney, tweeted the letter last night.
In it, Kratz seems to reference an “opportunity” he offered to Avery, in which Avery was expected to confess to Teresa Halbach’s murder.
He obviously didn’t and in response Kratz mocks the inmate for his belief that he has been set up.
Not only that, Kratz appears to criticise Avery for inquiring about evidence – fingerprints found on Teresa Halbach’s car – that could be used to clear his name.
