“How clever of you to find me…”

There’s less than two weeks to go until the Downton Abbey movie hits cinemas.

And, as if we didn’t have enough of a reason to be excited for the film, producers have released another teaser clip featuring none other than Violet Crawley, Dowager Countess of Grantham.

The brief footage shows the character, played by Dame Maggie Smith, going toe-to-toe with Imelda Staunton’s Lady Bagshaw, one of Queen Mary’s ladies in waiting.

And it is clear that the two characters have some unresolved issues – you can check out the clip below.

The historical drama, which ran for five seasons, first began the day after the Titanic sank in 1912 before taking fans through the events of World War I, and bidding its final farewell in 1925.

The film – now set in 1927 – will see the Crawley family and their army of maids, butlers and cooks thrown into a bit of chaos with a royal visit looming.

Yes, that’s right: King George V and Queen Mary are coming to visit the Crawleys’  Yorkshire estate.

But in the wake of the Great Depression and the aftermath of World War I, the estate is being run by fewer servants. So, they decide to ask Casron, the retired head butler, to return and get things in “ship-shape”.
