Looks like we are going to be getting even MORE Love Island this year

Keeley Ryan

Okay, we would love this to happen.

It looks like Love Island may be coming back to our TV screens VERY soon – this time, for a one-off Christmas reunion.

According to The Sun, Love Island bosses are planning on getting the cast back together for a festive-themed catch-up this year.

But since only four couples are left from this season of the summer reality TV series, any kind of reunion is likely to be fairly awkward.

The publication report that bosses have already contacted this year’s winners, Jack Fincham and Dani Dyer, to try and get them on board with the idea.

The possible festive reunion is still in the early stages, with previous talks discussing the idea of hosting the show back in the infamous Love Island villa in Mallorca.

ITV bosses are said to have even considered bringing in contestants from previous years to spice things up.

The source added:

“Lots of ideas have been floated around including bringing back some of the old stars. If they get on well with this year’s contestants then sparks could fly.”

Samira Foster and Frankie Foster were the first Love Island couple to split this year; followed by Laura Anderson and Paul Knops.

Jack Fowler and Laura Crane announced their decision to call time on their relationship shortly after; followed by Charlie Brake revealing he and Ellie Brown had split on his Instagram Stories.

The most recent couple to split was Georgia Steel and Sam Bird.
