Love Is Blind’s Jessica says she tried to quit the show but ‘had to stay’

Jade Hayden

We stan our chaotic queen, Messica.

Love Is Blind is over.

It’s done, it’s finished, it’s created one of the most incredible pop culture moments in the entire history of TV and we are eternally grateful for it.

We are also eternally grateful for Jessica, a complete mess who was wine drunk approximately 90 percent of the time and yet still remains one of the purest and watchable souls in this here world.

Despite this – and despite all of the incredible entertainment she supplied us with – Jessica didn’t actually want to see the show out until its final days.

According to her, she wanted to quit before the actual wedding – but wasn’t able to.

She told EW that she and Mark had discussed their relationship before the final episode, and even though that both didn’t want to get married, they did have to film the final episode.

“I don’t know I’m allowed to answer that question,” she said, before the Netflix rep gave her the OK.

“Okay. Yeah, I mean, I had to stay. I definitely had a conversation about leaving and I wasn’t able to do that. My dog got sick too, and almost died during the show, I had so much other stuff going on.”

“I wanted to be 100 percent in it but I kind of went in and out of wanting to be 100 percent in it and knowing that I needed to deal with my dog.

“It was really frustrating because I kind of knew [Mark and I] weren’t going to get there. I definitely had some conversations and attempted to leave, but I wasn’t able to.”

Contrary to popular belief, Jessica’s dog wasn’t sick because she was lapping up red wine during Jessica’s conversation with her potential husband to be.

Rather, she had eaten a piece of a stick and needed to receive medical attention during filming.

She is, thankfully, doing well.
