Love Island bombshell Antigoni also has a famous parent

Ellen Fitzpatrick

Then there were two…

So it turns out Gemma Owen isn’t the only person in the villa this year with a famous parent.

It seems that new bombshell Antigoni Buxton also comes from the limelight as her mum is a famous celebrity chef.

Tonia Buxton is best known for appearing in shows like Sunday Brunch, My Greek Kitchen and My Cypriot Kitchen.

Speaking about her daughter heading into the villa, it seemed that she was none the wiser about the decision to head onto the reality show, and it came as a surprise to Tonia.

Tonia wrote on Instagram: “I can not believe that my @antigoni is in the Love Island Villa, she mentioned she would be sunbathing this week I didn’t think she meant in Mallorca!

“We are all so excited for you and know you will be amazing! You have always been an island girl, so I know you will fit right in!

“Hoping you all love and support my girl, I know she will make us proud! Tune in to my stories every night where I will be commentating the show, or trying to!”

Antigoni is originally from London but has Cypriot roots and works as a singer-songwriter, with her music described as “hip hop with UK beats and Greek/Middle Eastern elements.”

We all know by now that Gemma Owen is of course the daughter of football legend Michael Owen, but she and Antigoni aren’t the only two to have a famous parent either.

Before he made the decision to leave the villa after only a matter of days, Liam Llewellyn also has a famous dad, and like Gemma’s, he’s also in the sporting world.

Liam’s dad David is ex-Welsh rugby international, playing for clubs like Ebbw Vale, Newport and Neath and scoring a try in the 1999 Rugby World Cup, making it to the quarter finals.
