Love Island bosses considering bringing back the original celeb version of the show

Who remembers Celebrity Love Island?

While everyone is now obsessed with the new Love Island, the show was a relaunch of a 2005 celeb-filled version that was cancelled after two seasons.

Yes, back in 2005, Patrick Kielty and Kelly Brook hosted Celebrity Love Island which saw a handful of celebrities head to Fiji to try and find love.

People like Calum Best, Abi Titmuss and Rebecca Loos all took part in the first of a two-season run for the show and it was glorious.

Well, now thanks to the success of the new ITV show, bosses are considering bringing the celeb version back.

“It’s a no-brainer to bring back the celebrity version,” a source told Daily Star.

“It will mean they can air two series a year – a regular one and a celebrity one.

“It’s an easy format to slot celebs into, and the villa and location are available in January so ITV is costing everything up and speaking to sponsors.”

The source suggests that the celebrity version of the show could run over 15 nights in January.

Here’s hoping!
