The Love Island Christmas special has been confirmed – and here who is taking part

Well, this may get awkward.

There’s been a lot of things that have happened since Love Island left our screens this summer.

There’s been break-ups; tantrums and plenty of controversies…as well as, of course, the couples that actually gone the distance.

Which is why we were so excited when we heard rumours there was going to be a reunion this year – after all, what better way to catch up on the drama?

It has now been confirmed that Love Island’s class of 2018 are going to be back on our TV screens very soon for a Christmas reunion special.

The one-off episode will see host Caroline Flack reunite with 19 of the former Islanders for a festive-themed special, according to Radio Times

This year’s winners, Jack and Dani, will be there, as well as Wes and Megan, and Adam and Zara. Kaz will be at the reunion solo, as her boyfriend, Josh, won’t be able to make it since he is going to be away in the USA.

The scenes are also going to see the previously coupled-up contestants come face-to-face, including this year’s runner-ups, Paul and Laura; Georgia and Sam; and Ellie and Charlie.

Samira, Dr. Alex, Alexandra, Kendall, Hayley and Eyal will also be joining the rest of their castmates, spilling on whether or not they have had more luck in love after their stint in the villa.

Meanwhile, Iain Stirling will be back on voiceover duties for the reunion as the episode is set to pick up “where the couples left off”.

On the show, ITV said:

“Six months on, whose love has lasted the distance, who has scores to settle, and who is feeling single and ready to mingle once again?

“Escaping to a festive retreat, the Islanders will lift the lid on the dramatic break ups and tabloid headlines that have played out since departing the villa. Are reconciliations on the cards, or have the holiday romance bubbles well and truly burst?”
