Love/Hate, Vikings And Frank Lead Nominations For This Year’s IFTAs

The nominees for this year’s Irish Film And Television Awards have been announced, with Love/Hate and Lenny Abrahamson’s Frank leading the pack.

The format of the awards has been changed slightly this year, with the film ceremony taking place in May and television awards being held in October.

Love/Hate received seven nominations, including nods for Best Drama, Stuart Carolan’s script, David Caffrey’s direction, lead performances from Tom Vaughan-Lawlor’s and Charlie Murphy and supporting appearances from John Connors and Mary Murray.

Vikings followed with five nominations, with Charlie, The Fall and Game Of Thrones all being nominated in three categories.

Frank and Patrick’s Day were the leading lights in the film category, with nine nominations each, while Gerard Barrett’s Glassland was featured in six categories.

I Used to Live Here, Noble and Song of the Sea were also included in this year’s awards.
