The other night, Game of Thrones was on. Lots of things happened during the second episode of season eight and if you would rather remain in the dark about what exactly went down, please stop reading now. Episode two contained a scene that many people were surprised, shocked, and totally scandalised by. Because Ayra had sex for the first time, and honest to God nobody saw it coming. The scene was surprising for a few reasons, but mainly because the character of Ayra has been present in the show since was 11-years-old (when actor Maisie Williams was just 15), meaning that a lot of the audience still see her as a young girl. However, Ayra is now 18-years-old (and Maisie is 22) so really she can legally have sex with whoever she likes. Not that consent has ever been a point of interest in Game of Thrones.  Despite this, some viewers still took issue with the the fact that Ayra had a sex scene, saying that they felt it was uncomfortable to watch because they had followed the character all through her childhood and adolescence to become the badass woman that she is now.
