Mark Wright made a pretty cringe faux pas after interviewing Kim Kardashian

Morto for him, like

We have to say fair play to him; the Towie cast member done good by nabbing a mega entertainment news gig in the US.

Yes, one-time reality TV star Mark Wright now helps present the Emmy-winning Extra in LA – lining up alongside the likes of Mario Lopez.

With the most recent series of the show now underway, the 30-year-old has been sitting down with a load of big-name stars over the last number of weeks.

And on Tuesday Mark, who is married to actress Michelle Keegan, came face-to-face with Kim Kardashian.

In the aftermath he was all over social sharing snaps of Mrs West (we’d be the exact same, Mark)  but his choice of wording attracted plenty of criticism.

A post shared by Mark Wright (@wrighty_) on

Taking to Instagram and Twitter – where he has a combined fan-base of almost 4.5m – Mr Wright stated: “Great night chatting to this 1 @kimkardashian what a lovely girl and so funny too.”

Understandably, plenty of folk took exception with the TV presenter describing 36-year-old mother-of-two (with a third on the way in January via a surrogate) a ‘girl’.

“If she’s over 18 she’s a woman, not a girl,” one comment read. “Girl? I hope she doesn’t read this post. Seems a little disrespectful to me,” stated another.

Others were more understanding, however, with one fan saying: “Ahhh girl, woman all the same don’t pick holes people it’s not the end of the world.”

Nevertheless, in response Mark quickly edited his Insta post to replace the word ‘girl’ with ‘person’ – although his Tweet remains untouched.

Here at Her, we’re not big fans of being called ‘girls’ by men – and definitely in a professional or interview environment, we reckon that Mark should have had a bit more cop on.
