The former TOWIE star left many viewers confused this morning.

Mark Wright’s career has gone from strength to strength since he first appeared on our screens in The Only Way is Essex and now the Essex boy is in his biggest role yet as the news correspondent for Extra TV in the US.

Yes, Mark relocated to LA last year to take on his new role, however, this morning appeared on British TV to share all the latest entertainment news from across the pond.

However, viewers seemed more distracted by the way Mark was sharing the celebrity goss than the stories he had to share.

Viewers quickly took to Twitter to ask one question – what happened to his accent?

GMB viewers quickly noted that the TOWIE star’s Essex accent seemed to have disappeared since he headed stateside.

Mark did the rounds on British telly this morning as he also appeared on Lorraine just a few hours later.

This time the conversation was all about his marriage to Michelle Keegan and making that work despite the distance between them.

“Wifi makes FaceTime free so we make it work,” Mark told the host.

This isn't the first time Mark has faced criticism for his "changing accent".

The former reality star was asked about it earlier this year on GMB and said he had to change his voice a little for American audiences to understand him more.
