Brace yourself, this news might get you a little bit excited: at least one of the Westlife boys has signed a record deal and might have his debut solo album out by next year!
So it emerged that he wasn’t going to represent Ireland in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2013 but it has been revealed that Shane Filan has put pen to paper for a record deal.
Shane is said to be working on his debut album for next year.
According to The Sun newspaper the former Westlife star has signed a deal with London Records and may even have an album out in the new year. Yes, next year!
And he’s not the only one of the five-piece thought to be celebrating as Mark Feehily is also believed to be getting his own deal.
Mark is also believed to have put pen to paper for a deal.
Westlife of course broke our hearts earlier this year when they decided to call it a day after 14 years of number one hits and thousands of screaming fans.
Although, unlike some other boy bands (not to name names but 5ive, Blue, the list goes on), all of the boys have gone on to be successful with Kian Egan and Nicky Byrne both landing roles on small screen.
