Are you ready? Queen Bey is back and she wants everyone to know. Let’s just say that it’s pretty obvious that Mrs Carter means some serious business. In fact, she’s just released a clip of her new single online.
Last night, Beyoncé released a snippet from her new single entitled Bow Down/I Been On. She also included a picture of herself as a child, standing in a room full of trophies. Check it out:

Beyonce posted this picture on her Tumblr account to announce the track
Featuring lyrics like: “I know when you were little girls you dreamt of being in my world. Don’t forget it. Respect that. Bow down b***hes,” and “I took my time to live my life but don’t think I’m just his little wife. Don’t get it twisted, this is my sh*t” it’s pretty clear that Beyoncé is using the single to address her absence from the music industry.
For the past year, Beyoncé has been busy looking after her daughter Blue Ivy and taking a break, however, if this single is anything to go by, she’s planning on coming back with a major bang. Watch out Rihanna – your crown could be in jeopardy!
We’ll admit that the single does sound slightly different from her usual sound and, unsurprisingly, fans are largely divided. It’s the kind of track that you’ll either love or hate.
Apparently the music in the single is actually sections from two different songs: Bow Down which was produced by Hit-Boy and I Been On which is produced by Timbaland.
